I want to host multiple domains and subdomains. What is the best hosting company to go with?

March 8, 2010 best web hosting service 10 Comments

I’m not necessarily looking for dedicated hosting, either. Shared would probably be fine. I’m just wanting to see what most people are using.

http://www.JuicyHosting.com lets you host multiple domains and subdomains stating at under $5

Well if your looking for multiple domains and subdomains your not looking for a shared server. Your going to want a private server that will allow you a huge amount of space. I have my own and its 200 gigs of memory have never failed me. Its worth getting your own, if you can afford it. When renting a server you can get jipped, as most companies shove as many customers onto one server as possible.

Your looking at a good couple hundred bucks a month for what your asking.

I have used many hosting companies over the years…… I have found the best value and service comes from a company called 1and1. They have 24 tech support and you get to speak with a real person when you call. They have a help area which has articles to help you set up almost anything your heart desires. They support all languages depending on the package you choose. I have been a little frustrated with the asp.net 2.0 support but i am not sure if this is because i am new to it and learning but i have had no trouble setting up php and classic asp applications. 1and1 allows you to set up an enormous amount of domains and subdomains. If you have any questions feel free to ask. http://www.1and1.com gets my vote.

Hi! Best deal on the web in my opinion:

    http://www.hostmonster.com/track/getafree/

Host unlimited domains, unlimited subdomains, 300gb space, and many other features. Excellent statistic tools (you can see who is on your website in real time). 50$ credit for advertising your site on yahoo. Forums, bloggers, live chat programs all preinstalled on the server, you can activate them in few clicks.

    Price? Only 5.95$ per month!

There are tons of shared hosting providers on the Internet nowdays.

Personally, I have been using EasyCGI:

    http://easycgi.o-pedia.com/

I have been using Easy CGI for over 8 years now, I have 3 shared hosting accounts with them. The price is 7.96 a month which is real cheap (others advertise lower prices like 3 or 4$ a month, but they are nowhere near as reliable as EasyCGI).

The package offers everything you could ever need:

    (From their website)
    - Unlimited FTP Accounts
    - Unlimited subdomains (subdomain.yourdomain.com)
    - 1000 GB/month data transfer
    - 100 GB Disk Space
    - CPanel with tons of good scripts and applications
    - 500 POP3/Webmail Email addresses
    - 50 MySQL/MS Access/MS SQL Databases
    - Free Domain Stats
    - Free Domain Privacy
    - ASP/PHP/Perl/CGI-bin/Frontpage
    - Unlimited Cron
    - 99.999% uptime guarantee

And they do offer so much more. Their service and support is also spotless, they respond to email requests within minutes.

Are common web hosting services like Godaddy the same as shared web hosting services?

May 4, 2010

Hi,
I want to know if Godaddy, HostGator,… are considered as shared servers or there are differences between mentioned services and a shared web server.

Thank you
I can only answer for GoDaddy as I’m a client. Yes. It’s shared hosting unless you purchased a dedicated hosting plan which is $$$

i have my 1st art show in a week, what is a creative display name for my table that will catch people’s eyes?

May 1, 2010

the art show is hosted by a church, id like something unique, and eye-catching.
i am in high school, and its NON profit.
If your artwork doesn’t attract people’s attention, a display name will not help.
Besides, even if you came up with the MOST clever and brilliant name possible, in the entire world, you don’t want it [...]

What is the difference between shared and dedicated hosting and which is best?

April 29, 2010

Shared hosting means several sites use the same machine, share the cost, and share available CPU/bandwidth. Some have, monthly upload/download limits per site, one of my favorite sites got shut down at the end of the month- two months running, until they switched servers.
Dedicated hosting mean you have sole use of the machine, pay all [...]

Is there a video hosting site that allows me to embed videos whilst keeping them private?

April 29, 2010

I want to embed a video into my website that others can watch, just like a YouTube video. However, I don’t want my video to be public on YouTube: just on my own site.
Are there any FREE video hosting providers that allow you to do this? I can’t find any anywhere.

April 27, 2010

Basically, I’ll be having a site that will have around 5-6 large file video downloads….would shared hosting work for this?
Shared hosting is fine. Get the cheapest thing you can find because downloading files takes no resources off the web server. Dedicated is where no other websites, except yours, is on the server. If you [...]
