I need a new ecommerce design and hosting site… somebody help … I need advise…. ?

I currently use instantecom.net for my ecommerce website. As my business is growing I need more options and better templates to make changes as needed… so I need advise on what other sites are out there that allow you to design , market and place a shopping cart all on one site. I use paypal as my shopping cart and really am not that happy with them either….
I need advise on other design and hosting sites that are out there as I am having a hard time finding sites. Thanks

Can anyone recommend a "green" web hosting service/company? Can you use yahoo ecommerce with another host?

I’m starting a niche natural/eco-friendly ecommerce business and would like to use a green hosting company. I orginally was looking at using Yahoo’s Small Business ecommerce solution simply because it’s easy and everything is right "out of the box" plus it seems like a great way to get started with an ecommerce biz fairly easily. The only problem is their hosting isn’t ecofriendly or "green". I would love to have a "green" web host since this goes along with my business and plus I don’t want to be wasting energy. So my question is really two fold, 1) CAN I use a green" hosting service while at the same time using Yahoo’s ecommerce solution 2) Which green hosting service is best?

Help! Opening an online store and I need advice. What is the best cheap ecommerce web host?

I am opening an online boutique/store. What is the best low cost ecommerce web host? I want to pay monthly (not yearly).I would also like any tips or advice on opening the store. I’m having trouble selecting an ecommerce web-host. The templates most offer are just blah and I’m having a hard time finding one that offers all that I need. I am willing to pay up to about $60/mo. for a good host that includes: CC processing, SSL, allows unlimited products or at least 750-1000, shipping options, tax calculator & search engine on site. As far as template go, I could buy one for about $50 dollars, which is about all I have left in my budget to do so, but I wouldn’t know how to install it & don’t have Adobe PhotoShop either, which seems to be needed for most templates. I do have GIMP, can I use that instead? Any suggestions? Thanks.

What is the best cheap website host for an eCommerce app?

I just got into website creating just to create a single ecommerce site. I used godaddy for hosting and oscommerce for the shopping cart. It didn’t work out too well, and I had trouble installing it. What is a good, cheap hosting site that works well with something like oscommerce? And is there any way to repair the damage that I might have accidentally done to the domain?

I had Miva shopping cart but my web host closed. Any ecommerce carts that don’t require special hosting?

I have a specilty oils and candles web site. I was hosting with a local provider who had Miva cart included with the web hosting plan. The webhost closed, went out of business with out notice. Luckily I have my domain but I lost everything else with my web site because it was all on the server. I am very frustrated and would like to restart my ecommerce web site, but I donot want to be held hostage by a web host ever again. Can I use joomla without Hosting to make a practice site on?

Yes, you can. You do NOT need a host to practice using Joomla. All you need is a computer with an a service on it that will run PHP code along with a MySql Database. XAMPP is a great tool that will do this. Download it here:

Then read up on how to use it. There is a bit of a learning curve, but you should be able to get it off the ground in a couple of hours max..if you run into trouble, come on back here.

This will let you load and view your joomla site on your local machine. It will not be viewable on the internet, but it is great for development and practice.
