What email providers also provide free website hosting and builders?

March 9, 2010 email hosting No Comments

I was wondering if there were any other email providers that would host websites for members..and had an easy website builder. I’ve already tried yahoo and msn,and wasn’t very pleased.. any ideas?

*It would also be nice if the hoster/builder had a member/mysql data base.**

I would suggest 000webhost free hosting. They have no ads, 1.5GB of space, 100GB of monthly bandwidth and most of the basic things are supported. They also have a website autoinstaller which you can use to install shopping websites, forums, blogs and more with 1 click. I would say a free host is the best to start with, then you can switch to a payed one with more options if you need them.

Can anyone recommend a good email hosting service?

March 5, 2010 email hosting 6 Comments

I would like to send and receive email from myname@mydomain.com. I already own mydomain.com and do not wish to transfer it to a new registrar nor swap DNS servers, just to make the necessary changes to my MX records. Can anyone recommend a reliable, trustworthy and good value provider who will provide POP3/SMPT services for me on this basis, as it seems this sector has more than its fair share of sharp practitioners.

When you sign up with a new hosting service, you’ll need to change the nameservers at the registrar so your domain name points to the server.
There are loads of reputable hosts out there.
I’ve used Bluehost and have no complaints. I’ve also used Kwikhosting and Netfirms. I’m about to sign someone up on Siteground.
Some registrars have hosting as well, like GoDaddy.

What is Email Hosting Service ?

February 27, 2010 email hosting 1 Comment

I want to know that what is Email Hosting Service ? When there are Gmail & yahoo mail then why people go for email Hosting Service ? And from where i can get it if i want it ?

E-mail hosting services usually offer premium e-mail at a cost as opposed to advertising supported free e-mail or free webmail. E-mail hosting services thus differ from typical end-user e-mail providers such as webmail sites. They cater mostly to demanding e-mail users and Small and Mid Size (SME) businesses, while larger enterprises usually run their own e-mail hosting service. E-mail hosting providers allow for premium e-mail services along with custom configurations and large number of accounts. In addition, hosting providers manage user’s own domain name, including any e-mail authentication scheme that the domain owner wishes to enforce in order to convey the meaning that using a specific domain name identifies and qualifies e-mail senders.

all service providers provides it say refff, yahoo, etc

Should I pay for email hosting or attempt to host my website and email my own? How much will I save?

February 21, 2010 email hosting 3 Comments

I plan on getting about 10,000 hits a month on my website.

I would definitely pay for hosting. You can get good, reliable hosting for around $5.00 a month from godaddy.com, 1and1.com, and many others. 10,000 hits per month should not be a problem for basic hosting plans from these sites.

Hosting your own site is very complicated and expensive.

At what point should a company consider hosting its email internally – assuming security isnt a big factor?

February 19, 2010 email hosting 2 Comments

Assuming that security isnt the LARGEST concern (but of course it is important) – when is it appropriate to host email internally?

Is it based on the number of employees? If so, how many?
Is it based on bandwidth? If so, how much?
Etc…?

Try the best of both worlds. We get our email from this service

http://hosting.dugancom.com/

that is very inexpensive. The pluses here are maintained spam and virus control as well as reliabilty. Then at the office we run this

http://www.mdaemon.com/

It’s pretty cheap and gives an extra layer of control / support. This way we have the advantages of a local mail server (shared calendar and so on) with the backup of a professional company. Good luck with what you do.
