Microsoft supports ASP – it’s not really something the host has to support. (They can turn it off, but it’s assumed that Windows hosting gives you ASP and Linux hosting gives you PHP.)

I have more than 5 portal hosted on Shared Hosting, in all portal i am using asp access database connection. In every 5-15 days it seems problem for data connection (Internal Server Error 500)
My hosting provider is claiming that asp access can not handle mask user, is it, what should i do ?
You can ask the provider to give a more user friendly HTTP error. This would get you out of the guessing game. If there service is bad find a better provider. There are thousand of them.

You need to make sure the server you are posting it to is set up for your application. There needs to be a virtual server, set up for .net 2.0 with the application name matching your application. You might try setting up your own IIS and futzing with the settings until you get it to run on your own machine then set up the server likewise. This is different than hitting the play buttin in VWD. You need to make sure you have IIS installed and setup correctly.

I’ve already read many tutuorials over it.But still my local IIS 5.0 is showing problem while opening ".aspx" pages of mine website.I’ve already tested IIS by simple HTML pages.During debugging ASP pages are working fine by opening a random port on localhost.Where am i mistaken?Help plz
Have you used the "asp_regiis.exe" tool and restarted IIS?

I’m developing a website with Visual Web Developer 2008 Express, using asp.net 3.5, ajax and silverlight. Also, I’ll be needed database support, I think it’s MS SQL that’s used for Web Developer? What are all the requirments needed to run this website that I need to look for? Some hosting companies, for example say, IIS or XAML supported, but I don’t know of I need those. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I would use www.NeedAWebDomain.com for this. Get a windows hosting account not linux. With window you can run the asp.net framework and integrate ajax and mysql.
Their hosting is top notch. Their a godaddy affiliate but they actually care about their customers. Thats why I use them and their hosting has never been down for me. I just scaled up to a deluxe package cause of traffic but start with the basic plan.
