Shared hosting is fine. Get the cheapest thing you can find because downloading files takes no resources off the web server. Dedicated is where no other websites, except yours, is on the server. If you have complicated php or .asp web pages that use a lot of resources to process all the information, then the dedicated would be idea in this situation.
You’ll want to research and see how much bandwidth (how many mb’s you’re allowed to send over the internet) and how much is costs if you go over.
Is there free simple web hosting for my own domain and has email under my domain, and without ads or links?

Of course you get what you pay for in Bandwidth and priority. Not a bad setup at all.
Only drawback is that the "FREE" plans do require you to log into the forum once every two weeks.
