How to host a site on the net made on microsoft frontpage?

How to host a site on the net made on microsoft frontpage?
i havent made it but want to
how much will hosting with private servers cost me in all??

Web hosting pricing varies I am currently paying about 100 a year for my plan but I have far more features then most will ever need. I can actually host several separate web sites on one account and can have more MySQL databases then I will need. You can find a link to my web host on my links page http://www.lakeareawebs.com/links.html

You will also want to purchase a domain name if it is not supplied by your web host. My web host provides me with 2 free on their middle of the road account which I have. However if you choose a different web host you can always buy your domain names from godaddy.com for under 10 dollars a year each.

Building a site with front page can mean a lot of different things are you building it with .html or .htm pages only if so you can use an apache web server. If you are using ASP technology though you will need a Microsoft IIS web server. If you only need front page extensions you can have them enabled on either type of server with most web hosting companies.

I would highly recommend you learn HTML, CSS, JavaScript, MySQL, & PHP if you are looking for professional results from your web page.

I actually pay less then 120 dollars a year for my domain name and hosting. I do not pay for advertising, merchant account, or SSL certificate though.

Shared website hosting poll?

I am doing some Research for a project and I need to know what are the key features people look for when choosing a shared hosting package.

There is the obvious price and space ect but is there anything else?

What do you look for?

It is very important that your service be uptime. It means that you can access your account whenever you want to update your web pages, and your visitors can view your website whenever they type your website address. If your hosting service is not uptime it is real hell!

As you may know a domain name is just a name, not a real website. If you are going to create your website: 1- Buy a domain name. To get a domain name, you have to pay an annual fee to a registrar for the right to use that name. 2- Buy a web hosting service to provide your online space and enable you to get your website online at your purchased domain name.

If you want to start your website I recommend purchase your domain and hosting together. In this way it is possible to get your domain for free. Some hosting services offer this gift today.

As an experienced webmaster I recommend BlueHost service which I’m sure it would work for you and fulfill all your requirements. They have a really great offer for hosting & I have used them for over 3 yrs now, and have never had a single problem with them.

They are a Multi-awarded Web Hosting which offer a Full-featured service only $6.95. You can see their Plan Details accompanied with reliable reviews regarding their service at:

Can you apply Forum software to Microsoft Office Live Small Business website builder?

April 28, 2010 microsoft hosting 4 Comments

Curious. It’s an awesome setup for a basic website, but my site is solely a forum site for discussion. I just didnt want to go through those other ‘free forum hosting’ sites because my ultimate goal is to make money for me, not them.

Anyone have any recomendations on a host if Microsoft doesnt work? I heard LunarPages was decent.

If you are going to run forum site using phpbb or vbulletin at your own domain without any ads, then you can select BlueHost as your forum hosting plan. This service is superior with perfect server uptime (over the internet). BlueHost server is fast too, and it doesn’t cost you much, just $6.95/month.

They have a really great offer for hosting & I have used them for over 3 yrs now, and have never had a single problem with them. (One of my websites is a forum site)

I need some suggestions for web hosting providers that have very LARGE hosting plans…?

I need a hosting plan that provides enough bandwidth to host a website that gets at least 3-5 million hits per month. (The website is also loaded with large graphics and therefore uses more bandwidth than most sites do).
Possibly any plans with unmetered with bandwidth if there is one out there!

Check out I Power’s Pro Plus plan with UNLIMITED BANDWIDTH. You get 3 domain name registrations free and can host 10 domain names with the same account all for $12.95 per month.

Good luck!

I would like to start a business at a young age.?

Is it legal for me to start a small internet hosting business? I’ve read up on many pages before that such large successful companies today started back when their owner/founder were only 14-18 years old. I am currently 16 years old and have major experience over the internet, marketing, advertising, and college credits over business courses. I wanted to major in mba and/or marketing/advertising and I thought it may be interesting if I started a company. I thought to myself maybe reseller hosting and domain names would be a great place to start. I am able to provide myself with a website, domain, hosting, and I know of a few places for webhosting reseller. Would it be legal for me to start this business without a business license or anything? Since I’m only 16 years old.

In simple words…is it legal for me (a 16 year old) to start a small internet webhosting business? I would accept payments through PayPal, and I would have a SECURE order form and client management system for my customers.

If this is legal…how do I gain trust from customers? Letting them know that this is NOT a scam company or anything. The only way I can think of is presenting to them a business license of some sort. But I cannot do that because I’m under 18 and I cannot sign any legal documents to have an ‘official’ business.

Any suggestions?

THANK YOU SO MUCH! =]

It’s legal but sort of illegal also because first off you can’t have a pay pal before you’re 18 years old,it requires credit. sites cost money monthly,if your parents put their name in for the site and they pay for it you don’t have any problems, you can also have a free website at Freewebs.com.With no contracts(I am not advertising it,it’s a suggestion.)

if you put your parents name for the business then it would still be hard for an offical business do to license, they can be able to get it…..though if they already have one it’s easy, the easiest way to do this is the free webs if you want to make a web without paying.though you would have to advertise it,it does also depend on what you will do with the site,if your looking for selling then you would have to have a license for anything like that, but if your looking for stuff like programing or stuff then you don’t need a license…

Good luck, I hope you find something!

What are the elements that construct a fully operational business website?

ISP, merchant, webhosting, search engines accounts..
Where can I get the best deal, am I missing something elase?

There are a lot of internet business models you could consider of (e.g. buying and selling domain names, affiliate marketing, auctions, selling digital or physical products, creating paid newsletter or websites and many more).

Different internet business model may require different web marketing strategies.

With a proper system setup and correct web marketing strategies, you could start to earn some passive income.

Find out more from the link in my profile. It will tell you how to setup a successful online business step by step regardless of your experience and background. It will also tell you what are the reason behind each step, how you could go about doing it and where you could get the necessary resources free or at a low price.

Hope that it will be helpful to you.

What is the best website to buy domain names? Also, what is the best webhosting site for a busy business?

Hi…I am new to making a website. I run a busy international business, and can’t be bothered with slow traffic. I wanted to get the best webhosting site (unlimited data). What site do you recommend?

Also, if I were to buy domain from say godaddy.com, do I have to also buy web hosting through same company (godaddy). I figured that if I bought domain from godaddy and went with a different site to use as webhost, it might make it slow for people to come to my website, b/c the domain that I bought from godaddy will have to redirect to the web host that is from A DIFFERENT company. I figure that it is best to buy domain and webhost from the same place b/c it will be the quickest for people to come onto my site with no lag time (there won’t be much redirection b/c both domain and webhost are from same company). Am I right in my thinking?

I advise HostMonster. They have many things that GoDaddy lacks, such as officialized support for PHP 5 (and not some file-renaming convention).

Also, they have CPANEL, great uptime and superb phone tech support (I’ve never been on the phone for longer than 2 minutes trying to wait for someone to answer my call).

As for the domain name – it doesn’t matter as much as you might think. Some companies will try to run their "game" on you and insert little fees here and there, but if you stay with GoDaddy or HostMonster or someone of equal calibre, you’ll wind up being okay. Just try to make sure you get your domain name with your hosting company. It saves on hassle and time.

How to move a website hosting?

February 19, 2010 123 hosting 3 Comments

I have three websites that are all built (by me) through a company called ‘Mr Site’. I would like to try building them myself via a program I’ve bought called ‘Website x5′ (Incomedia).

What I don’t understand is how to get the website addresses back from Mr Site. I originally bought the names via 123 Reg, and then I think they were transferred to Mr Site when I bought a ‘website package’ from Mr Site. It’s time to renew my website hosting package with Mr Site, and I don’t want to. But if I don’t – who gets the names? How do I transfer the names to me??

In other words, I own three website addresses which are currently being hosted through Mr Site. If I don’t renew with them, how do I get the names from them? How do I host my own site?

I hope this makes sense, and thank you for your help!

Well, the Domain names belong to you for the period prescribed by the contract you signed with whoever you got them from. Check to see how long you own them for, and you can renew that separately in most cases, or transfer it to another web host. I know Dream Host has a service for this. (Dream Host is the best host I have ever used.) As for transferring your site, you just need to download all of the files you have on the server, and then re-upload them to a new server of your choosing.

If you want to host your own site, and this is from your own machine at home I assume, you first need to read through your ISP’s terms of service. Most of them have specific notes forbidding running your own webserver. You might have to pay to upgrade your account through them. If you have all of that set up, it’s as simple as installing some form of freeware web server software on your machine, I recommend WAMP, mainly because of the simplicity and the wide range of plugins that you can get for it. Once you have that installed, just forward the port 80 on your router to the machine running wamp. I’ts really a simple process. I did it that way for quite a few years!

Hope this helps!

Who has the cheapest and best hosting plans?

Hi, I recently took possession of "9" wordpress blogs and I’m looking for a real good deal for hosting, can someone please let me know who has the best deals, best customer service and have a solid reputation online. Thanks very much!

I recommend one of these http://www.webhostingtable.com

Fatcow has the best deal right now.
Their standard price is $88/year
but they have the 50% sale at the moment.

Disk space: Unlimited
Bandwidth: Unlimited
A Free domain name
Unlimited domains and subdomains

Price: $44/year

They’re one of the oldest hosting companies, founded 1998, they’re also one of the largest, currently hosting about 500,000 websites.

Their hosting plan includes an easy, one click install of Wordpress from their control panel, and you could host multiple domains/websites on the single account. You would just need to purchase the additional domain names, either from Fatcow or from any 3rd party domain name registrar like Godaddy, Namecheap, Doster or someone else.
