How can I store and save username and passwords through dreamweaver and yahoo! Small Business Webhosting?
My website requires a few protected pages which only paying customers can access. The book i’m using keeps telling me to use some sort of database to store all the passwords and usernames, etc, but doesn’t give any real detail on how to do this.
Yahoo! is hosting the site, and i’m using Dreamweaver 8. What do I use for the database, where does it go, and how do I access it?
There’s a lot there I know, but any help would be greatly appreciated.
I’m not familiar with Yahoo hosting, but if they have traditional web hosting tools like cPanel and Fantastico, then you can install a content management system like Drupal, Joomla, Mambo, or WordPress with just a few mouse clicks, and then use that to control access to parts of your website.
